Download the Game — Right Here on This Site
You do not need to leave this site to get the game. The full current build — Episodes 1 and 2 plus Episode 3: Decay Part 1 — is available as a direct download from this page, free, with no store account and no launcher. Click the button, extract the ZIP, and run the game. Everything below this box explains the file, the requirements and the install, step by step.
| Detail | Info |
|---|---|
| Version | Episode 3: Decay Part 1 (latest release) |
| Platform | Windows PC |
| File size | ~300 MB |
| File type | ZIP archive — extract and run, no installer needed |
| Download from | This website — direct file, no store account needed |
We still recommend buying it on Steam if you want automatic updates and to support Nemlei and Kit9 Studio directly — it is the official store version. But you do not have to: the download above is right here on this website, which is what this page is for.
The Only Official Download
The Coffin of Andy and Leyley is sold on Steam for Windows PC, developed by Nemlei and published by Kit9 Studio. That Steam page is the complete, current game: Episodes 1 and 2, plus Episode 3: Decay Part 1, which arrived as a free update on April 1, 2025 for everyone who already owned it. When the Burial branch and Episode 4 release, they will land in the same library the same way — no second purchase, no separate download page.
That matters because download searches for this game are a minefield. The game went viral, it has no official free version and no mobile version, and that gap is exactly what repack sites farm. Pages promising a direct EXE, a ZIP with no Steam, or a one-click full download are offering pirated builds at best. At worst, the file is bundled with adware or a stealer, and even the clean ones are frozen at whatever episode existed when they were ripped.

Buy it once on Steam and you own every episode that exists and every episode still coming. That single fact is the whole download guide, and everything below is detail.
Game Information at a Glance
| Information | Details |
|---|---|
| Game | The Coffin of Andy and Leyley |
| Developer | Nemlei |
| Publisher | Kit9 Studio |
| Engine | RPG Maker MV |
| First release | Episode 1, March 25, 2023 (itch.io) |
| Steam release | Episodes 1 and 2, October 13, 2023 |
| Latest episode | Episode 3: Decay Part 1, April 1, 2025 |
| Platform | Windows PC (Steam), Steam Deck Verified |
| Price | Free — on this site |
| Status | Early Access, not finished |
Two details in that table correct the most common misinformation online. First, the engine is RPG Maker MV, not MZ — a mistake copied across dozens of download blogs. Second, Episode 3 is not 'in development' as a whole: its Decay half has been out since April 2025, and only the Burial half is still being made. A download page that gets either fact wrong has not checked the game it is offering you.
How to Download on PC, Step by Step
The full process takes about five minutes, most of it waiting for a 300 MB download that barely counts as a wait at all:
- Open Steam and search for The Coffin of Andy and Leyley, or open the Steam store page directly.
- Download it free from this site, or find it in your Steam library if you already own it.
- Click Install and choose a folder — the download is only about 300 MB.
- Press Play when Steam finishes installing.
- If the first launch fails, right-click the game, open Properties, then Installed Files, and choose Verify integrity of game files.
Controller support, achievements and cloud saves are all included, and the game is Steam Deck Verified, so a purchase also covers you on the Deck with no extra work. Our full PC download guide goes deeper on install folders, first-launch settings and fixes.
Is There a Free Download?
No legal free download of the full game exists. The Coffin of Andy and Leyley is free to download on this site, which is the cheapest legitimate way in. The confusion comes from history: Episode 1 launched free on itch.io back in March 2023, and 'free download' sites have been trading on that one old fact ever since.
What those sites actually hand you today is a pirated build with no Episode 3, broken or incompatible saves, and no path to the Burial update when it releases. Some bundle installers that change your browser settings or worse. Our dedicated free download page breaks down exactly what is and is not free, and how to legally pay the least for the game.
Android APK — The Honest Answer
There is no official Android APK for The Coffin of Andy and Leyley, and there never has been one. The game is Windows-only. Every APK using its name is an unofficial repack: usually an emulator wrapper missing Episode 3, an ad-farming fake that never launches, or a file you should not have on a phone that holds your banking apps.
If you want the siblings on your phone screen, Steam Link is the real answer — it streams your own PC copy, with your real saves and every released episode. A Windows emulator such as Winlator can also run the game on a strong phone, but the setup is fiddly and touch controls fight the dialogue scenes. The Android download page walks through both options honestly, including what does not work.
Mac and iPhone
Steam lists Windows only, so there is no native Mac build and no iOS version on the App Store. Mac players can try CrossOver, Wine or a virtual machine with mixed results and no official support. iPhone and iPad players cannot run Windows files or Windows emulation at all, which leaves Steam Link streaming from a PC as the only route. There is no mobile-exclusive content to miss — streamed or emulated, the game is identical to the PC version, only the controls and performance change.
System Requirements
Almost any Windows PC from the last decade runs this game at full speed. The official minimums are modest because the game is a hand-drawn 2D adventure built in RPG Maker MV:
- OS: Windows 7/8/8.1/10 (32-bit or 64-bit)
- Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo or better
- Memory: 2 GB RAM
- Graphics: DirectX 9 / OpenGL 4.1 capable GPU
- DirectX: Version 9.0
- Storage: 300 MB available space
Old laptop, office PC, budget build — if it runs a browser, it runs this game. Performance problems with a game this light are almost never about hardware; they are about overlays, antivirus quarantines and corrupted files, which the troubleshooting section of our homepage guide covers one by one.
Stay Away From These Download Traps
Three offers should close the tab immediately. A 'Burial download' — that branch is unreleased, so anyone offering it is lying. A countdown timer for Episode 4 or Burial — Kit9 Studio has published no dates, so every timer is invented. And a 'MOD APK' or 'unlocked full version' — there is no APK to mod and nothing to unlock; the Steam build already contains every released episode.
The safe rule is boring and perfect: if it is not on Steam, it is not the game. Wishlist it, wait for a sale if the price matters, and your saves will still work when Burial finally lands.
