Why Ending Counts Differ
The answer depends on whether you count route outcomes, dead ends and continuation points. The current reference list distinguishes six named Decay closures, a Decay continuation, and the short Burial ending. Earlier Episode 2 outcomes are another category.
Use the endings guide for the complete named list. This article explains the counting method rather than repeating the walkthrough.
Burial Is Not an Empty Category
The main Burial branch is still being developed, but a short ending has already been added. Older claims that Burial has zero playable endings are outdated.

Do Dead Ends Count?
They count as story outcomes if your checklist includes them. They do not all continue into another episode. State which category you mean before comparing totals from different guides.

Why There Is No Final Count Yet
The game remains in Early Access. New patches can add outcomes or change how branches continue. A permanent final total would require a finished release and a clear definition of “ending”.
How to Track Your Progress
Record the ending name displayed in the game, the route, and the save used to reach it. Keep branch saves separate. This gives you a checklist you can compare with a version-specific guide.
Achievements Are a Separate Checklist
An achievement list is useful for completion, but an achievement is not always an ending. Compare the achievement description with your ending record rather than assuming the totals should match.
